The Reverend Yejide Peters Pietersen

The Rev. Yejide Peters Pietersen is the Associate Dean and Director for Formation of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. A graduate of The University of Michigan (B.A.) and Yale University (M.Div.). She previously served as vicar of St. Chad’s with St. Mary’s and St. Alkmund’s in Shrewsbury, England. While in England, Yejide also served as a founding member of the Diocese of Lichfield’s Racial Justice and Inclusion Task Group.

Yejide’s experience also includes nine years as rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Briarcliff Manor, NY, associate rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA, and board leadership in organizations such as Forward Movement and Rural Migrant Ministries. In addition, she has served as a speaker for a number of local, national, and international events, including The National Cathedrals Conference (Newcastle, UK, 2022).

On, February3, 2024, the Rev. Yejide Peters Pietersen was the preacher at the Commemoration of Absalom Jones at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine service.
